I strongly believe in self-reliance and starting local in addressing climate change. Each one of us has a role to play and it starts with taking responsibility for our own actions. By reducing our own carbon footprint and making our own lives more sustainable, we can set an example for others and create a ripple effect of positive change.

I also believe that change starts at home. We should focus on making our local communities more sustainable and resilient, not just relying on national or international solutions. By investing in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices in our own communities, we can create a strong foundation for a sustainable future.

Additionally, I know that a sound economy must be sustainable. Climate change is not only an environmental issue, but also an economic one. By investing in sustainable solutions, we can create jobs, improve the economy and ensure a better future for all. We should not have to choose between a healthy economy and a healthy planet, they can coexist.

Climate action is not left or right, it’s common sense.

The most immediate and concrete things for me includes:

1. Reduce my carbon footprint by switching to renewable energy sources and implementing energy-efficient practices in my home.

2. Support local businesses and organizations that prioritize sustainability and invest in renewable energy.

3. Use my voice and vote to support politicians and policies that prioritize action on climate change at the local, regional, and national level. I also donate to WWF, Greenpeace, and my local Swedish nature protection charity Naturskyddsföreningen.
